hunting beauty

After 6 months of lock down with the NYC covid19 summer, and working inhumane hours in a finance job to stay afloat in an uncertain world, it felt as though there was little remaining of my shredded soul. My first proper dance shoot on location however animated me back to life. As always the hunt for the perfect outdoor location is half the fun and a challenge for me, and have come to realize this is my forte, this is where my imagination is ignited. I am an environmental artist. It‘s all apart of the story telling, no matter how vague, pronounced or whimsical it may be, there is always the stage you must set, and capture the tale that has to be told.

I am a creature drawn to beauty, embracing a fierce feminine approach to capture the delicateness that lies within a character. From romantic classical architecture, to the depths of nature’s glorious bosom, its beauty always carries me away without fail. I often fantasize about floating through parts of Europe, allowing my senses to be overloaded in all the possibilities…… maybe I will get there one day soon.

My feet are itchy and my belly hungry.
I want to get drunk on the light and trip over the shadows.

This shoot was possible with the international dance teacher/performer and friend Irina Akulenko, assisted and chauffeured by the amazing Vlad. Deep in a New Jersey garden I managed to discover on one of my many hours binging the endless location rabbit hole. Enjoy. And celebrate/support/hug your local artists, its tough out there. PS) I will be taking a hiatus from one of my favorite cities and where I called home for the past 8 years. I plan to spend some beach time ahead to heal and let nature rejuvenate my spirit. That said, hello Puerto Rican creatives - I would love to hear from you.
